Style Notes
Lakeside retreat. A stylish waterside cottage, thoughtfully renovated to retain the best elements of its 60’s heritage whilst providing its guests with plenty of warmth and contemporary charm. Interiors are light, bright and airy, remaining faithful to their cabin roots with plenty of wooden detail including trendy shiplap walls. A predominantly neutral paint palette is uplifted by pops of color from art works, textiles and tiles adding texture and a touch of modern chic. Pretty sash windows flood in natural light, alongside views of the surrounding forest and lakeside. The cleverly designed decking wraps around the cottage, weaving down to the shore to make the most of the glorious scenery. We love the roof top deck, prettily perched above the boathouse, commanding some of the best views in the house, with a lovely alfresco dining table and sun loungers providing space to relax and unwind.
