Perks for the Parents

A serene retreat located in the heart of Ubud, just a 5-minute drive from the town centre. It sleeps 6. Parents will love the beautifully landscaped gardens and the mini-bar on the terrace, perfect for enjoying al fresco cocktails. Unwind by the inviting pool on comfortable sun loungers, soaking up the tropical sun as you indulge in well-deserved downtime.

Why Kids Love it

The house doesn’t come with toys or books, but the family-friendly pool will be the spot they’ll never want to leave, with a nearby gazebo offering a shaded retreat for quiet moments and plenty of outdoor seating for naps, relaxing or reading. Further afield, adventurous families can explore the area’s activities, such as trekking and river rafting or exploring the amazing temples of the city. There are safari parks, water parks and beaches just 45 minutes away at the coast for days out.

Things to Know

Each of the bedrooms has AC and an ensuite bathroom, stocked with toiletries. The pool is not gated (but there is a step up to the entry point) so younger children should be supervised. The roads in this area are very narrow, and it is not possible to drive directly to the villa (only available by bike). You can only drive by car to the central parking lot, which is a short walk from the villa. A crib is available on request. It’s around 1 hour to the airport - ask the host for transfer information.

About the Location

The villa has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms all set over 1 floor. You’ll find a cosy living room designed for relaxation, complete with a comfortable sofa and TV. The fully equipped kitchen provides everything you need, and there’s an open plan dining area for 6 (plus access to a terrace). Each of the bedrooms have kingsize beds, 2 of which have access to a terrace. A dedicated workspace is available for those needing to stay connected.

Accommodation Details

The villa is located 5 minutes’ drive from the center of Ubud in Bali. This destination is celebrated for its lush landscapes, terraced rice fields and serene ambience. Known as the island's cultural and spiritual centre, it offers a blend of traditional Balinese culture, art, and wellness. Visitors can explore ancient temples, bustling local markets, and art galleries, yet it’s surrounded by dense jungles and flowing rivers. The town is also a hub for creativity, with numerous workshops and performances showcasing traditional dance, crafts, and music.

Style Notes

Laid-back luxury. This contemporary home has been styled to create a comfortable yet relaxing space, with hints of the location in its inspiration. Natural wood materials blend with simple greys and whites to create a subtle, minimalist feel. We love the wood texture kitchen cabinetry, the textile wall hangings in the bedrooms and the grand columns framing the outdoor seating area in the garden.

Paradise island

This tropical paradise isn’t just for backpackers and honeymooners: imagine what fun your kids could have playing on the beach, spotting colorful birds and jungle bugs in the Balinese jungle and riding elephants on safari. There’s always the beach - great for sandcastles and even better for surfing, if they’re old enough. Browse art and eat in local cafes in Ubud, the center of the island, and pick your way carefully around the floral offerings. Sybaritic treats come in the form of those famous spas, private yoga and meditation lessons and time well spent together.
