Style Notes
Classic luxury. The 18th century mansion has been completely refurbished with ceiling with mouldings, Hungarian-style wooden floors, marble fireplaces, wood beamed ceilings, Italian shower, large bathtub, and a wonderful view over the valley and the swimming pool. We love the spiral staircase, the tiled floor in the hallway, the shabby-chic touches and the perfectly-equipped kitchen. Kids rooms are simply designed and not overblown and have plenty of charm. Rooms - bedrooms, lounges, play rooms - are very large.

Beaujolais, South of France
Valuable vines and active family fun
Famed for its wine, Beaujolais is north of Lyon and is full of beautiful stone villages, winding country roads and patchwork fields of valuable vines. The vineyards are the main attraction, but do check in advance as some are more family-friendly than others. The kids will love a cruise down the Saône, high ropes courses in the forest or hiring bikes to explore quiet riverside paths.
