This A-frame house, very close to Main Street Breckenridge, has 3 stories of cozy bedrooms, and a wraparound balcony with stunning views of the Colorado Rockies. It sleeps up to 18, most comfortably 10 adults and up to 8 kids in fullsize bunkbeds. Framed by Aspen trees and views of the mountains, this Colorado retreat offers the perfect relaxing apres-ski comforts with its own sauna and 2 fireplaces. The basement features a washer / dryer, a boot warmer, and a coat rack so the family can stay warm and dry. The area is charming with a renown farmers’ market at Dillon and the Breckenridge Distillery close by where you can sup some of its award-winning spirits.
Why Kids Love it
For outdoor kids, this is a great place to be all year round. In the winter, Breckenridge’s slopes are a short drive away. For those learning to ski, Copper Mountain is 20 minutes’ drive and one of the best places to master the snow with its exceptional ski school programs and friendly vibe. Colorado’s longest continually operating resort, Winter Park Resort is 1.5 hrs by car and has over 3,000 acres of terrain to enjoy including bumps, steeps, deeps and terrain parks. Jump in the car for 15 minutes for the Frisco Adventure Park with skateboarding, disc golf, and tubing and skiing when there’s snow. At the house, the 2nd floor bunk room is the perfect kids’ room to have fun together.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 2 nights. Children should take care on the interior and exterior balconies. Pets are welcome, subject to approval of breed and size. The pet fee is $150 for the first pet and $50 for every additional pet. Self-check-in via the front door keypad – the code will be sent within 24 hours of arrival. No smoking or candles / flame source. If you break house rules, you’ll be charged a $1000 fine per infraction per day. You must be at least 25 to rent this property and be present for the duration of the stay. Hosts are available around the clock for assistance. When visiting in the winter 4WD or AWD vehicles are recommended. The hosts are not responsible for guests getting stuck in the snow or cars being towed for any reason. Please note that the owners are occasionally present in the 2-story house on site but will not impact or use guest spaces.
About the Location
The house is in the scenic mountain resort of Breckenridge, Colorado, 2.5 hours outside Denver and the Denver International Airport. In the winter, head to the ski slopes at Breckenridge Resort, a short drive away, with 3,000 acres of skiable terrain, 5 peaks and 4 terrain parks — one with a 22-foot superpipe. In the summer there are meadows, alpine lakes, reservoirs, streams and rivers with Breckenridge known for state-class fly fishing waters. Hiking is also a popular summer activity and the Iowa Hill Trailhead and the Peaks Trail Trailhead are very close to the house. A 10 minute drive and you’ll find restaurants and shops at Breckenridge's charming Main Street. You’ll also discover historical walking tours, kayaking, play parks and the Recreation Center with an indoor climbing wall and aquatics area with pool, water slides, a sauna, and hot tubs.
Accommodation Details
This 3,675-sq ft residence has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms arranged over 3 floors. There are 2 entries. The ground-floor basement features a kitchenette, dining room, and a cozy living room complete with a gas fireplace. You’ll also find a laundry room with warmers and racks for boots and coats. There are 2 bedrooms on this floor: 1 kingsize and 1 queensize plus a bathroom with a combo tub / shower and a vanity. On the 2nd floor is another living room, a fully-stocked kitchen and a dining room. Sliding doors open to the balcony with Adirondack chairs, a grill, and mountain views. Also on this floor is a full bathroom with a tub /shower and 2 bedrooms: 1 kingsize and 1 kids’ room with 2 fullsize / double bunkbeds (sleeping 8). The 3rd floor has a lofted office and a final bedroom with 2 queensized beds and full bathroom with walk-in shower and wooden sauna.

With 2 kitchens and 2 living rooms (in the basement and 2nd floor), everyone can spread out and relax next their fireplace of choice. The main living space has vaulted ceilings, wood clad walls and floor-to-ceiling windows to make the most of the lookout. Public Good products feature in the bathrooms and restful sleep is assured with premium Milton sleep mattresses and high-quality linens. We love the cozy living room featuring a fireplace, 40” Samsung smart TV, and huge sliding-glass doors for mountain viewing, the balcony with chairs to relax outside, and the welcome sauna to warm your bones after a day on the slopes.
