Perks for the Parents

A colorful and welcoming family home just steps from Camden and the canal, with dedicated kids rooms and a roof terrace. It sleeps 7. This is a great set up for parents with teens or those traveling with a nanny/grandparents - they can have some privacy in the basement level bedroom while younger kids can take over the fun children’s rooms on the top two floors. Families of all ages will appreciate the unique surroundings too: it’s set just off the canal, so you can spy traditional London houseboats on the river or walk/cycle along the quiet canal paths to visit picturesque Little Venice or head east to Kings Cross, for the famous Platform 9 ¾ at St Pancras station.

Why Kids Love it

You'll find vibrant, welcoming kids rooms with plenty of toys and books to excite younger kids, as well as the table tennis set up in the garden. Teens will love having the independent basement room, or hanging out on the roof terrace overlooking the city. This is such a fun part of London, with punk-inspired street markets, bustling pavements and music streaming from traditional pubs and live venues. It’s also an easy walk to Regents Park, where you’ll find playgrounds and boats to rent in summer, as well as the beautiful London Zoo.

Things to Know

This home doesn't have air-conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period. This lovely family home is on a quiet pedestrian terrace; this means there is no direct access by car. It is only a short minute’s walk to the property from the main road. This home is spread over four floors with no internal elevator. This home has a wonderful roof terrace and balcony but please be aware that the access staircase is rather steep and coming back down from the terrace needs to be done with care. Although the entrance to this home is on the ground floor, there are several steps up to the front door. The fireplaces in this home are ornamental. About the Location

The property is located in vibrant eclectic Camden, just 2 minutes’ walk from Camden Road tube station with views of the Regents Canal. The house itself is located on a quiet street, but you’ll be just 10 minutes’ walk from Camden Market, with its quirky street stalls selling street food, vintage clothes, crafts, and curiosities. Alternatively, hop on a tour boat from Camden Lock and cruise down the leafy waterways to Little Venice for a picnic. It’s within walking distance of Regents Park and London Zoo (around 20 minutes) and desirable Primrose Hill village. Camden Town tube station (for the Northern Line) is another travel alternative; just 6 minutes’ walk.

Accommodation Details

The house has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, set over 4 floors. On the entrance level you’ll find the kitchen and living room, leading up to the primary suite on the first floor (with kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom). This floor also has 1 single room, ideal for kids.The next floor up has 2 more single rooms with a shared bathroom (with bathtub). The basement level has a second cozy living room, 1 kingsize bedroom and a shower room. A rarity for this part of London, you’ll also have access to a roof terrace (accessed via patio doors from one of the children's rooms upstairs) and a patio garden (accessed from the basement bedroom).

Style Notes

Colorful charm. You’ll find Middle Eastern touches throughout the home, courtesy of the homeowner’s trips to Oman. Natural light floods through the living room window, working harmoniously with pops of color to create a tranquil space. Period features are still evident (such as a fireplace and original stained glass windows) to complement more contemporary additions, such as the sleek white kitchen. We love the exposed brick wall in the kitchen, the quirky built-in bookcase in the living space and the fresh mint bathroom.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
Applicable to stays up to 60 nights: If guests need to cancel, we refund 50% of the booking value, up to 14 days before the arrival date. Should guests cancel within 14 days of the arrival date, the booking will be non-refundable. Applicable to stays of 60 nights or more: If guests wish to cancel, we refund 50% of the first 60 nights, up to 14 days before the arrival date. Should guests cancel within 14 days of arrival the first 60 booked days are non-refundable. During the stay, guests are able to cancel at any time within 30 days notice; the remaining nights of the stay will be refundable, however, the first 60 days will remain non-refundable. In addition to the hosts policy which is listed here, all cancellations are subject to a Kid & Coe cancellation fee of 15% of the booking total.
