About the Location

The villa is in the pretty, fishing village of Villammare, halfway between Maratea and Palinuro in the south of the Campania region. The area is considered to be the cradle of the Mediterranean and Villammare features long sandy beaches, a colorful seafront fringed with palms and eucalyptus trees and authentic restaurants. Trek in the Cilento National Park, sample the regional cuisine and enjoy the golden beaches and wild and unspoilt landscapes. Daily tours to Napoli, Pompei, Herculaneum, Matera are available. During summer months, guests can reach the Amalfi Coast, Ravello, Positano, Sorrento and the island of Capri by hydrofoil from Sapri Harbor. Although the beach is very close, car rental is recommended because the last part of the road to the villa is steep. Napoli is the nearest airport. Vibrant and full of la dolce vita. This modern villa was built in a traditional style and is set 164 ft above sea level with simply stunning views stretching for miles along the Cilento coast. It is comfortably furnished and has traditional tiled floors and a light and airy feel inside, with simple and elegant furnishings. Me and my sister Antonietta own this spectacular villa in Villammare. Following a huge passion for hospitality, some years ago at this family jewel we decided to open the door to the international quality tourism. Since 2005 so many families from all over the world have chosen Villa Le Cannicelle as location for their family reunion at the beach in Italy. The majority of them are keep gathering to the villa along the years for their family meetings. Their children feel like home and, when summer arrives, they can't wait to jump again into our beautiful swimming pool. We saw them growing up along the years and some of them can now even speak some Italian. What a great joy for us! As property owners what we care most is hospitality and our dedication to an excellent service in our role. If you are planning a charming family holiday in Italy please don't hesitate to contact us. The 'dolce vita' is here!

Campania, Italy

Including Naples, the Amalfi Coast, Vesuvius and Capri within its bounds, the province of Campania in southwest Italy, is one of the country's most exciting places for a vacation. Eat the best pizza in the world, take speedboat trips to glamorous islands or wander amid the ancient Roman ruins of Pompeii. The countryside serves up authentic cuisine and quieter beaches, and the further south you get, the more untouched the region becomes.

10 / 10 -- this is Italy's best kept secret! We have no intention of going back to Amalfi now that we found Marzio's stunning, thoughtfully appointed villa and la dolce vita on the Cilento Coast! Our stay was magical, filled with the most beautiful and happy memories with our three small children (under age 7) who swam, played, read, painted, and used their imaginations from morning to night. Our family stayed for 3 weeks and from that glittering, saltwater pool to my "Pilates with a view" (just use a beach towel for your mat on the terrace!) to the delicious dinners prepared by Chef Franco every night in the elegant summer kitchen, every member of my family was enchanted. The villa housekeeper/angel Maria not only kept the home sparkling clean but also treated my kids like her own, providing an extra set of hands and eyes whenever she was around. The host Marzio is next level - he went above and beyond to make our stay a success. He showed up on the first morning with delicious croissants and breakfast pizzas for our jet-lagged crew; brought my husband around in his car to show him the best local grocer, gelato, pizza, beach clubs, etc; and even took time off work one day to help us explore the coast including the most pristine beach and water and memorable restaurant EVER! (If you go... ask for the LUPO!) Every activity we did (including renting a boat with a captain and exploring the black sand beach and swimming caves + fancy lunch!) was a genius recommendation from the wonderful Marzio. He made everything so easy and we made too many memories to count, so all I have to say is..... we will be back! <3

To say that Le Cennicelle is the perfect home for a family vacation would be an understatement. Everything about the villa exceeded our expectations. There is enough space (both indoors and outside) for people to relax, explore, and have fun. The HUGE pool (with lots of pool toys), plum trees, swings, and outdoor gathering spaces were a highlight. Our group consisted of 6 adults and 8 kids under 10. The house was safe, perfect for all ages, and spacious enough for naps, pool play, and outdoor relaxing to happen at the same time. Marzio gave us solid recommendations on restaurants, day trips, and other amenities. This helped to create a once in a lifetime Cilento coast vacation that our families will never forget.
