Style Notes

Coastal paradise. With incredible views of the Cape Breton coastline, ocean and hills, this house is bright, light, modern, designed but not precious. With white floors (they are tough, don't worry about marking them up), a wood counter, and subtle blues and greens throughout, colors reflect the natural surroundings. The furnishings are modern and many are custom. Benjamin Moore used the house in their advertisements. We love the location, the easy-going vibe and the fabulous picture windows.

A beautiful and thoughtfully decorated house in the most stunning location. Layout and space was great for our family of four and grandparents. Spent a lot of time at Chimney Corner Beach which is just a couple of minutes away and very fun for young children.

Outstanding place. Breathtaking view, relaxing, exceptionally clean, well stocked, kid friendly. Exactly what we were looking for. Mornings under light blanket with the cup of tea outside, afternoons collecting blueberries down the hill, evenings watching gorgeous sunsets from the porch and nights stargazing. We loved it, our 6 and 8 years old kids loved it. The location is secluded, but manageable. There are restaurants within 20 min drive and ok co-op market within the same distance for groceries. Beaches are everywhere and some are within a very short drive. The only thing you need while there is good weather. Since the house sits on a top of hill, it gets very windy. We had few stormy days while visiting and the sound of the wind was quite something! On the other hand, that made a stay even more memorable.

The house and host are amazing! One of the most beautiful settings I've ever seen. We definitely hope to be back. Alexandra was responsive and helpful; lots of tips about the area and things to do. Photos are very accurate.

A spectacular place, even better in person that it is in pictures. The house is stocked with everything you need to occupy the kids and there are a few local towns nearby where you can find all the basics.. Oh, and the skyline trail, plus dozens of other spectacular hikes, is just an hour away. In short, amazing.

Where do we even begin...quite literally one of the most special getaways we've ever had as a family. Slow, serene, simple living in one of the most beautiful settings you can imagine. Fantastic use of space – a really stunning design which sits beautifully within its environment. The home has everything you need – just show up, relax and enjoy – a top-notch experience from start to finish.
