Why Kids Love it

The area is great for kids under the age of 12, with a shared 20m swimming pool, ping pong and pool tables in the barn and a shared play area with trampoline, swings and kids caravan hide out in one area. Things to Know

Will and I moved to France from London in 2005 after enjoyable careers in magazine publishing and travel. We bought and ran a successful chambres and table d'hotes for nine years, whilst growing our family from two to four along the way! In 2015 we sold our business and bought Domaine de Capiès where we continue to welcome people to this stunning corner of Southern France. Will enjoys creating the spaces, up cycling furniture and working with wood and I love cooking. We serve wood fired menu in our Barn Bar on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We have a 20m pool, play area with football goals, a basketball hoop, trampoline and little swing. We are hoping to build a tree house this summer, for everyone to enjoy.

Carcassonne, Southwest France

Castles, cobblestones and canals

This fairytale town in southern France is like a medieval pageant come to life, all drawbridges, cobblestones and Disney-esque turrets. Spaghetti-thin streets wind past basilicas covered in gargoyles and ramparts rolling out panoramic views. Watch falconry shows and knights on horseback or splash about at Carcassonne Plage, just outside the city.

We loved our stay in Tilly's place! Tilly and her family were really nice with us, we had a warm welcome, enjoyed their pizza and their recommendations. The location is perfect: quiet, relaxing and with great views.

Superb view from the two top floors and the swimming pool. Clean bathroom, clean linen sheets on the beds; kitchen lacked some equipment, although the basics were there. The hosts are very kind and helpful, and the domaine is pretty big, full of corners with nice surprises: hammocks, trampoline, etc. Lots of spices in the garden as well.
