We loved staying here in Charlestown. The location was perfect for a four day break from the city and to really blow out the cobwebs in late Autumn. The cottage itself is gorgeous, all the cookware and fittings are high spec, the duvets are like sleeping under a cloud, it really just feels very luxurious and that's before even mentioning the lovely little architectural details that add character and quirk to an already super place. The kids loved it, our 3yr old played shop through the indoor window while our 1yr old loved climbing through it and up and down the stairs. Both of them thought it was pretty special having hot chips in front of the fireplace and then outside - while it certainly wasn't swimming weather what kid doesn't love fossicking on the beach for stones and shells. We also went to the Eden Project which is really close by and had such a great family day there too. Locally the little cafe across the harbour had great food and a really nice atmosphere and style to it, the pub up the road was very friendly with the kids and we had a great meal there too after a long long walk along the coast. All in all I would highly recommend it. David and Antonia were very helpful and accommodating of our late night arrival and went to all lengths to make sure we had a good time and had any help we needed with getting the kids settled. I would definitely stay in any of their places again they've put a lot of thought into their accommodation and it does feel like a treat to stay.
