The hotel offers the hassle-free facilities and activities of an all-inclusive resort but with a subtle and elegant style. The hotel also a distinct eco-friendly offering with a strong focus on sustainability - this is reflected the holistic and slow-paced feel of the hotel, where parents can join in with yoga or meditation workshops. Spend your days by the pool, lounging at the beach, reading in the hotel library, or taking a wine tour of local Cretan vineyards.

Why Kids Love it

As well as the paddling pool for little ones and the safe sandy beach, there’s plenty to entertain the kids here: watch the open air movie screenings (3 times a week), shoot hoops at the basketball court, play tennis or try some beach volleyball. The Little Explorers Kids Club (for ages 3-10) has a kitchen for cooking activities, a performance area for dance and theater, an organic garden for environmental activities and a playground. There's also a Tiny Explorers Club, a nurturing baby room designed especially for little ones aged 0-3, where they can explore, learn, and grow alongside their parents, thoughtfully crafted to meet their every need. A padded bottom has been installed to ensure children's safety, along with a changing table, cushions and corner guards for the entire room. (Open 10am-5pm, accompanied by parents). The hotel also has a dedicated space for teens, The Place, with large hammocks, table tennis, billiards and darts, as well as a daily activities program. Older kids and teens will also love swimming in the meandering river pool or trying water-sports down at the beach, such as SUP and kayaking. Babysitting services are available on request, and there are baby-friendly facilities at the main restaurant (high chairs, sterilizers, microwave and blender).

Style Notes

Elegant, laid-back bliss. The hotel is decorated with natural materials and early, subtle tones to create a simple and welcoming look, with a slight tropical touch. Junior suites have stylish blue and white hues which references the coastal location, as does the authentic Greek artwork. All the rooms have luxurious bedding, custom-made furniture and indigenous toiletries. The beautiful gardens are filled with wild Malian flora, palm trees, endless cacti, Indian figs, olive trees and local banana trees (not to mention the on-site vegetable and herb garden which serves the hotel’s restaurants). We love the bohemian patterned textiles, the rustic rattan furniture and the pretty striped bistro chairs.

Crete, Greek Islands

Ruins, rocky outcrops and rural charm

Off the southern coast of mainland Greece, beautiful Crete is the largest of the islands, packed with rural charm, archeological sites and fabulous mountains - a land where shepherds still tend their flocks wearing traditional dress. Blow the kids’ minds at the enormous Samariá Gorge, tantalize them with tales of ancient civilization, and check out the cave where Zeus was said to have been born.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. We visited with another family and we had 6 kids between us ranging from 2 years old to 16.! It is absolutely full of families but doesn’t feel like too much. There are numerous restaurants with great food within the hotel and various swimming pools. We really enjoyed our stay - it’s done super well.
