This central location means it’s easy to get around and explore the city, with both the world-renowned tourist sights and little-known local finds in easy reach.
Why Kids Love it
There are plenty of toys and books for kids to play with during their stay, as well as fun bunk beds in the kids’ playful bedroom. The hosts also have a travel crib available on request. The apartment is spacious enough for kids to run around and play, with separate rooms for daytime naps and privacy for older kids or teens. There are 3 parks within a 10-minute walk, and the nearby Jane’s Carousel (15 minutes’ walk) is a well-known spot for families, with a 100-year old carousel as well as a riverside park. It’s also just half an hour by subway to Central Park for the world-famous Central Park Zoo, or 25 minutes south to Brooklyn’s Prospect Park and Children’s Museum.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 30 nights. There will be a weekly $170 cleaning charge added to all bookings over 3o days. Safety notes: stair gates can be provided on request and the rooftop is fully fenced. Street parking is readily available at the end of a nearby quiet street in Vinegar Hill. Car rental is not essential as the public transport is convenient and efficient. The residence comes with air conditioning, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV and WiFi.
About the Location
Located right next to the East River, this apartment is in the Dumbo neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. This central location is just a few steps away from cafes, restaurants and a Pilates studio, as well as all kinds of stores, eateries and flea markets within easy reach. The Navy Yard (where you’ll find Wegman’s for food groceries) and famous Russ and Daughters bagels, as well as all kinds of stores and flea markets within easy reach. The family will also love nearby St Ann’s Warehouse Theater and Brooklyn Bridge Park, with its playgrounds, carousel and sprawling sports courts. It’s less than 10 minutes’ walk to the subway (York St) which gets you to Manhattan in 10 minutes. JFK and LaGuardia are both around 45 minutes’ drive.

This apartment has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, set over 2 floors. It has an open plan layout, with a modern eat-in kitchen, dining area and living space. The rooftop has 320-degree views of Manhattan and Brooklyn, including where the Hudson River meets the East River (a rare find) as well as a cozy sofa area and dining table. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms: a children’s bedroom has a set of single bunk beds; the primary bedroom features a kingsize bed and the third bedroom is set up with a day bed (2 single beds). One bathroom has a bathtub and shower; the other has a walk-in shower. There is access to the roof top lounge.
Style Notes
City duplex. The apartment is bright, modern and filled with lots of natural light thanks to the large windows and high ceilings. The hosts have decorated the home beautifully and fashionably in Swisher furniture, with brand new linen, furnishings and accessories - Brooklyn chic at it’s best! We love the stunning roof light over the parents’ kingsize bed (for a real sleeping-under-the-stars experience), the unique hanging lights over the dining table and the subtle botanical theme: think lush indoor plants and oh-so-pretty floral wall art.
