Perks for the Parents

A peaceful retreat bordering a reserve, yet just minutes from East Hampton town and The Hamptons’ beautiful beaches. It sleeps 16. This home is perfect for a family -with plenty of privacy in the 2 primary suites and media room, while also having an open plan kitchen/living/dining area to come together and hang out as a family, as well as a craft table area to keep an eye on kids. Parents will appreciate the luxurious linens, towels and decor, 2 beverage fridges and top-end appliances, so you can create relaxed family meals at home during your stay. What’s more, the hosts run a local workout studio in East Hampton so they can direct you to the best workout on the east end!

Why Kids Love it

Younger kids and toddlers will love it here, having plenty of space to play. A large game/crafts table is set up in the main area, and there are puzzles, toys and games galore. The huge backyard comes with a playhouse (complete with a doorbell!) and they’ll absolutely love the cute and fun kids bedrooms. The hosts can provide an extra travel crib on request. There’s also a separate media room and TVs in both primary suites so older kids and teens can have some privacy too.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 5 nights. Maximum stay: 1 month. Safety notes: there are gates on the stairs but there is no fence around the pool, so younger children should be supervised outside. The pool has a sitting ledge along one side. The hosts have 3 high-end double air beds for sleepovers or extra guests. International airports in NYC are around 3 hours away - car rental is essential.

About the Location

The house is located in between East Hampton and Springs, a short drive from Three Mile Harbor Marina. It’s very central to all the best parts of East Hampton: less than 10 minutes from town, the harbor, the bays and the ocean. A gourmet grocer is a 2-minute drive or quick walk. Lots of restaurants are in the neighborhood, from taverns to 5-star establishments, and the street is a double cul-de-sac, so it’s extremely quiet and peaceful (you might see deer, wild turkeys and bunnies on the property!).

Accommodation Details

The house has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, set over 2 floors. The main floor has a luxuriously designed chef's kitchen, with quartz counter tops, and a custom hood and cabinetry. This area opens to a large dining room with doors leading out to a new bluestone patio and a heated gunite pool. Also on this floor is a spacious open living room, the media room (with queensize pull-out sofabed) and powder room. On the second floor, there are 2 generously sized primary suites with kingsize beds, along with 2 additional bedrooms (1 queensize, 1 bunk room) and another full bathroom. The home flows seamlessly from the dining and kitchen areas outdoors to the deck, patio and expansive yard, all surrounding the heated pool and overlooking the reserve.

Style Notes

Country meets contemporary. The home boasts custom high end finishes throughout, with a wonderful open concept perfect for entertaining. The hosts have chosen top-of-the-line decor, towels and linens (by Serena and Lily, Sferra, RH). There are many custom upholstered items, exquisite tiling, crown molding, gorgeous wallpaper and electronically controlled custom drapes in each bedroom. Each room is a different, soothing color, and while great care was taken to decorate, it still feels super comfy and not fussy. We love the cute kids bunk bed and playful wallpaper, the grand brick fireplace and the luxurious bathrooms.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 15% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 15% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

Mansions and main beach

East Hampton is this affluent playground’s most fashionable town, known for its grand houses and estates as much for its readings and exhibitions. The main draw is Main Beach, a beautiful coastline with clean sands, inviting waters, professional lifeguards, plenty of space and millionaire mansions on the banks. LongHouse Reserve, with its enchanting sculpture garden, and Hither Hills State Park are also worth a visit.
