This is the perfect spot to relax and recharge with your loved ones. The beautiful 300’ yard has views of the north, west and south side of the lake, so a beautiful sunrise will greet you every morning. You can jump straight off the dock for daily swimming, try out some watersports, snooze down by the shore on the outdoor seating area or explore the cute stores and eateries in nearby Skaneateles town.

Why Kids Love it

This is such a fun house for kids to visit, with amazing outdoor activities. The lawn is a long flat section, great for grass games and the lake house has an outdoor water trampoline moored just off the shore, with easy, wide kid-friendly steps to access the water. The property is extremely safe for little kids, with steady and low grade access to the water and life jackets if needed. They can have fun on a paddle board, water table, slide, or enjoy the tons of kids toys provided by the host. They even have a dedicated play room just off the kitchen, perfect for little ones to feel like they are welcome. A pack and play, high chair and snoo crib can be available upon request.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 5 nights. Safety notes: the second floor has a gate at the top and bottom of the stairs for safety. The lake front access is completely private. Non-swimmers and young babies or toddlers must be supervised outdoors. A car is necessary to explore the area.It’s just 30 minutes from the Syracuse airport; 4 hours drive from NYC; 2 hours from Buffalo.

About the Location

The house is located on the shores of Skaneateles Lake, one of the 5 Finger Lakes in New York state. This area has the most beautiful town (8 minutes’ drive), filled with great shops, restaurants, wineries, parks and playgrounds. The other lakes are all less than 1 hour away, so you can explore the rest of the area too. Families enjoy visiting the white deer at Deer Haven Park (50 minutes) and the Finger Lakes National Forest is just over 1 hour away by car. Rochester is around 1.5 hours away and offers museums, amusement parks and more.

Accommodation Details

The property has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, set over 2 floors. It boasts an open floor layout from the kitchen into the living room and screened in porch, which have expansive views of the lake. Just off the kitchen is a small and cozy playroom for children. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms: each have a queensize bed and the children’s room also has 1 crib. The main door opens to a gravel terrace with views north and south of the lake. Enjoy the breeze off the lake throughout the house, set down a private and quiet lane with over 150ft of private lake frontage.

Style Notes

Light lake house. This nautical-style home is designed to be enjoyed indoors and out. The host family spends more time outside on the porch or on the lawn than inside - this is a place where you can truly get back to nature. The views of the lake can be seen from almost every room in the house making it feel like a very serene oasis. We love the cute play tent in the kids room, the lake-inspired artwork and the super cozy porch room.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 15% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 15% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
