Still just 10 minutes’ walk from the main attractions, this peaceful home offers a private terrace with views over the picturesque city rooftops.

Why Kids Love it

Teens will love this cool apartment, with its modern interiors and proximity to the vibrant city center. There are art museums within walking distance, and the city’s fashion museum is just 6 minutes away on foot. For parents with little ones, the river is a short stroll away where you can cross over the water to a cute gelateria (4 minutes’ walk) and then head down to Pitti Palace, which is surrounded by heaps of green space and pedestrianized areas so kids can run off some steam in between visiting the sights.

Things to Know

Check in: 4pm. Check out: 10am. Safety notes: the living room staircase is open and ‘floating’ with no stair gates so younger children should be monitored. Ask the host about additional services (for an extra fee) such as cleaning services, a private chef, welcome hamper, pre-stocked fridge, day trips, airport transfers or babysitting. Pets may be welcome for an additional fee - check with the host when booking. Italian Visitors Tax is payable locally in cash: €5.50 per person per night for the first 7 nights, children under the age of 12 are exempt. City tax is not included in the rental rate.

The closest beach in Versilia, in the northwest province of Lucca, is just over an hour away, and wine connoisseurs will love visiting the nearby Chianti vineyards and medieval villages in the surrounding rural areas.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 12 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 12 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 12 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
A non-refundable 30% deposit is required to make a booking (or full payment if booking within 12 weeks of arrival). If you have paid a deposit, the final balance is payable 12 weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. Once this has been paid, it is non-refundable.

Art, architecture and an antique carousel

Known for its incredible art galleries, architecture and Michelangelo’s David, the capital of Tuscany has plenty for parents with an eye for beauty, and it doesn’t let the younger generation down either. Play hide and seek in Baroque gardens, seek out the best gelateria in the city (you need to test a few to be sure), or ride on the antique carousel in Piazza Repubblica. Take a guided tour of the Uffizi or try a fashion workshop for under 12s at the Gucci Museum. Eat pizza, climb the narrow corridor to the top of the Duomo or buy wooden toys at Bartolucci’s. Then start planning for your return visit.
