Why Kids Love it

The single rooms on the top level have kid-friendly styling (such as flamingo print wallpaper) and they won’t be able to resist the spacious playroom, complete with cinema-style TV, cozy loungers and table football. With multiple bedrooms on each floor, it’s ideal for families to share with friends or a nanny, as well as larger families with teens or grandparents. Nearby, there are 2 playgrounds less than 5 minutes away on foot, while the pretty Furnivall Gardens (2 minutes’ walk) offers a riverside park seat to watch the famous university boat race.
Things to Know
No pets, parties or smoking.The lead guest must be at least 25 years old. All guests will receive a rental agreement prior to their stay which you are required to sign and submit. Even though the Thames Path is on your doorstep, being set back from the river and screened off affords some welcome privacy. There's a large, gated driveway behind the house, with 2 parking spaces available on request. There are 4 floors with 2 spiral staircases, so it may be tricky for toddlers to navigate. The lower ground floor includes a large utility room, boasting 3 washing machines and 3 tumble dryers. There are 9 gas fireplaces. The kitchen is impressively equipped with 3 dishwashers, 3 freezers, 2 fridges, 2 ovens, and 2 microwaves. Almost every bedroom has A/C except the 2 that stay coolest (in the basement and next to the conservatory). A few rooms (not pictured) will be locked with no guest access.
About the Location
The house is located on the banks of the River Thames in Hammersmith, west London. Situated right next to Hammersmith Bridge, just over the water from Chiswick, this desirable neighborhood boasts neighboring homes such as William Morris's Victorian property and the famous Michelin-starred restaurant The River Cafe. The area is dotted with charming waterside pubs, yet it’s less than 10 minutes on foot to busy Hammersmith, where you can jump on the subway into the city. It’s around 15 minutes by subway into Kensington, or half an hour to Victoria and the West End. Heathrow airport is around 45 minutes by train or car.

This magnificent home has 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, set over 4 floors. Basement: Cinema room, laundry room, playroom, living room, separate WC, plus bedroom 1: a kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom. Ground floor: Kitchen, formal dining room, separate living room and access to the outdoor terrace. First floor: The primary bedroom, with a kingsize bed and dressing room, plus ensuite bathroom with a bathtub. This floor also has a twin room and a kingsize guest room, both with ensuite bathrooms. Top floor: The top floor has 2 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms: 2 children’s rooms with single trundle pull-out beds and 2 kingsize bedrooms. There’s also a double sofabed in the living room to accommodate 2 additional guests.
Style Notes
Elegant estate. Each element of its immaculate interior has been expertly designed, from striking light installations, to a rich colorful palette. Impressive architectural features and unique artwork add another element of interest, and even the hallways are enhanced to perfection, with their classical coved ceilings and sweeping spiral stairs. Natural light is accentuated throughout by sash windows and high ceilings, although the living and dining rooms boast more light from swathes of glass and majestic chandeliers. The kitchen and bathrooms are drenched in sleek marbled porcelain, while the 8 bedrooms combine sumptuous textures with 5-star comfort. We love the eye-popping fruit sculptures, the fluorescent, Bowie-esque canvas in the entrance and the Baby Grand piano in the living room.
