Designed by a yoga therapist and a restaurateur husband-wife duo, with two young children of their own, this nature escape has everything you’d need for both parents and children. The home features a fully equipped yoga studio and a separate treatment room for massages, facials, and more. They can also connect you with local private chefs, and wellness practitioners to make your stay even more special. The wide-open layout is perfect for imaginative play, and built-in stair gates give parents peace of mind. With space to gather and room to breathe, it’s a magical setting for making memories together.

Why Kids Love it

This house is a dream for kids of all ages, from babies to teens. The hosts have thought of everything to make traveling with little ones feel seamless, from cribs and toddler beds to high chairs, kid-friendly plates, a baby monitor, and even access to trusted local babysitters. Little ones will love the playroom filled with crafts, costumes, books, toys, a teepee, and even their own mini fridge for snacks. Outdoors, children will love swimming in the 40’ swimming pool, as well as exploring the 13 acres of private forest and spotting deer, wild turkeys, and up to 20 species of birds at sunrise. Older kids and teens will love the movie projector, the nature trails right outside the door, and the space to roam freely.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights; 7 nights in summer. The hosts will accept groups of up to 12. Safety notes: the lodge is set half a mile down a private road, offering total seclusion and a deep sense of calm. For added peace of mind, the property is equipped with a security system, which can be activated at the guest’s request. The 40’ pool is fully gated, and built-in stair gates are in place throughout the home. The saltwater pool can be heated for an additional fee of $100 per day. The house manager lives just minutes away and is available for in-person support. Pets may be considered on a case-by-case basis - please reach out to inquire. It’s about 1.5 hours from Stewart Airport or 2.5 hours from JFK/LGA.

About the Location

The house is located in Clinton Corners, in the heart of New York’s Hudson Valley, just 2 hours from NYC. The lodge is tucked away and surrounded by forest, but close enough to charming towns like Rhinebeck, Millbrook, and Hudson for easy outings. Families love the area for the access to nature-based adventures, from seasonal fruit picking at local farms to hiking, kayaking, and visiting wildlife sanctuaries. The region offers farmers markets, cozy cafés, historic estates, sculpture parks, and hands-on nature centers that make it easy to fill your days with fresh air and family-friendly exploration.

Accommodation Details

The lodge spans 3 spacious floors with 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, designed to blend luxury, warmth, and family-friendly comfort. The main level features vaulted pine-beamed ceilings with skylights, a Jøtul wood-burning stove, and a grand stone fireplace. The primary suite includes a kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, accompanied by 2 additional bedrooms and bathrooms. This floor also houses the chef-designed kitchen, fully outfitted with Thermador and Sub-Zero appliances, as well as a cozy sunroom/theater room with a retractable projector screen, perfect for movie nights or taking in the forest views. The upper level includes a queensize ensuite bedroom, a flexible queensize bedroom/home office, and a light-filled meditation loft that overlooks the main living space. The lower level opens directly onto the pool and features its own fully appointed Smeg/Viking kitchen, a double queensize bedroom, full bathroom, a vibrant children’s playroom, dedicated yoga studio, and a treatment room ideal for in-house massage, facials, or healing sessions. Outside, a gated 40’ pool rests on a sunny grassy knoll overlooking 13 acres of private forest. Two solid wood dining tables, one at the front and one at the back of the home, each seat 10 - perfect for al fresco meals and golden hour gatherings.

Style Notes

Luxury log cabin. Warm, natural, and elegantly rustic, the lodge boasts soaring ceilings, exposed pine beams, and floor-to-ceiling windows that bring the forest in. The interiors blend earthy textures with thoughtful luxury, from the glass-front Jøtul wood-burning stove set on a grand stone mantle to a chef-designed kitchen with top-tier appliances: includes a Thermador 6-burner stove with griddle, double ovens, Sub-Zero fridge, wine fridge, and sparkling water on tap. Soft, layered textiles, curated vintage touches, and playful design in the kids’ areas create a home that feels both refined yet welcoming. We love the spacious kitchen larder cabinets, the rustic trunk coffee table and the enveloping deep tones of the grown-up bedrooms.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 15% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 15% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
