A dreamy 300-year-old casa set in Ibiza’s rural heartlands with magical valley views, a natural saltwater pool, and the culinary delights of Santa Gertrudis just 10 minutes’ drive away. It sleeps 4 + 2. Home to a creative family with 3 kids, the residence is beautifully styled throughout with plenty of space to relax and play in. The primary bedroom comes with a kingsize bed, and its own garden access for making the most of peaceful moments before the kids rise, or after they’re in bed. The cozy ‘outdoor’ living area also opens onto the garden, perfectly situated for parents wishing to unwind whilst keeping an eye on the kids playing outside. The pool has an inbuilt sun deck complete with chic sun loungers for parents to relax and soak in the views from whilst the kids splash about. Whipping up a family feast couldn't be easier with a fully stocked farmhouse kitchen, and several alfresco dining areas to choose from offering up a mix of sun, shade and sunset views. For those seeking a break from the cooking, the hosts can help arrange for in-house chefs on request.

Why Kids Love it

Kids will love this magical casa with indoor and outdoor games, and plenty of room to play. In the garden they will find a trampoline, a little soccer and basketball field, as well as the non-chlorinated natural swimming pool, ideal for little ones with sensitive skin. Aspiring chefs can collect fresh eggs laid daily by the host’s chickens, and there are various local markets for those who enjoy tasting and selecting local ingredients for family feasts back at home. For those who like to get active, Ibiza has plenty to offer from hikes that start straight from the casa’s front door to local horse trekking, go-karting, water parks, surfing and of course its beaches. It’s 15 minutes’ drive to the coastal port of Sant Miquel and or pine clad Benirrás beach - and there are lots of quiet sandy coves to explore along the northern coastline. The hosts can provide stairgates on request, as well as fireguards.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights. The house is on one level with small steps here and there; stair gates can be provided on request. Please note that there is no gate around the pool so kids should be supervised around it. This residence does not have a TV or a bathtub. There is air conditioning and WiFi. The host’s cat Billy is resident at the house; the hosts will arrange for someone to come in every evening to feed the cat in the downstairs garden, as well as the chickens. Car parking is available at the residence; there isn’t any public transport in the area so car hire is essential to explore the island. The residence is pet friendly though please speak to the hosts if you are planning to bring a pet.

About the Location

The Casa is located in Ibiza’s San Mateo, a quiet, rural area in the countryside with plenty of hiking and biking trails to explore. The closest towns are San Miguel and Santa Gertrudis - dubbed ‘Ibiza’s loveliest village’ – both 8 minutes’ drive. Guests will find an international vibe there alongside some of Ibiza’s best restaurants, boutiques and cafes. Kids will love the ice cream shops and its 2 lovely playgrounds. For those seeking more excitement, Ibiza Town is just a 15-minute drive away, with a vibrant nightlife scene and trendy boutiques. Some of Ibiza’s best loved beaches are an easy drive away with Platja des Port de Sant Miquel 15 minutes, pine clad Benirrás 18 minutes and the amenities of Santa Eulalia 23 minutes. Fly into Ibiza airport, a 25-minute drive away.

Accommodation Details

The casa has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms set over 1 level. Following a traditional farmhouse lay out, the kitchen and living-dining room are the social hub of the home with sofas, armchairs, rustic shelving, a piano and a dining table seating 6 in the latter. The attached kitchen is fully stocked and includes a dishwasher, a double oven and pantry style shelving. There’s an outdoor living room at the front of the house with sofas and a coffee table, opening up to the garden on one side. The primary bedroom has a kingsize bed, and its own garden access. There’s a second bedroom with a queensize bed and 2 further bedrooms with single sofa beds. There are 4 bathrooms with showers. Outside there are multiple landscaped terraces with 3 separate dining areas featuring tables seating up to 6 guests. There is a natural saltwater pool, a pool deck with 4 sun loungers and umbrellas, and an outdoor shower.

Style Notes

Farmhouse chic. Set in a magical valley amongst olive and fig trees, and rolling fields, this 3oo year old traditional finca has been stylishly renovated throughout. Original features including its thick stone walls, wooden beams, and feature windows have been carefully preserved maintaining character whilst subtly updating with contemporary furnishings. Owned by a creative couple working in the music and photography industries, interiors are artistic, personal and unique – adorned with framed photographic stills on the walls, art and fashion books, musical instruments and vintage record players. The family love travelling and guests will also find curated treasures dotted around, brought back from various adventures. We love the valley views from the kitchen windows, and the stunning saltwater pool with its chic striped loungers and panoramic vistas.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 15% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 15% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
