The William Mews Residence
Perks for the Parents
Stay in this delightful mews house in the heart of Knightsbridge - an unbeatable location just a few minutes’ walk from Hyde Park. It sleeps 6. This is the house you think of when you envisage a classic London trip: a period mews house on a quiet street, tucked away behind bustling Sloane Street and almost opposite the green spaces of Hyde Park. It’s well set up for a family, with open plan living/dining space adjacent to a fully-equipped kitchen, as well as 2 bathrooms on separate floors for those traveling with a nanny, grandparents or teens.
Why Kids Love it
The house feels playful and colorful - kids will love the pretty second bedroom with the built-in bed and the street has very little through traffic so it’s safe for little ones to get around on foot. The parks in this area of London are a dream for kids: Hyde Park (5 minutes) takes days to explore, with horseback riding, outdoor swimming, the Serpentine gallery and some of the city’s best playgrounds. On the other side of Buckingham Palace, St James’s Park is also a great spot for kids (20 minutes’ walk). The child-friendly museums of South Kensington are around 15 minutes away by tube.

Style Notes
Eclectic British. This beautifully-designed home is a testament to the character of classic London homes. The hosts have filled the living space with an eclectic mix of artworks, and dressed every room with striking wallpapers. Architecture fans will love the vintage winding staircase up to the second level, while the traditional powder blue kitchen is utterly charming. We love the beautifully-crafted built-in closets in the primary bedroom, the authentic historic windows and the warm blue of the original staircase.

Knightsbridge, London
Harrods, Hyde Park and the Household Cavalry
Known for its high end shopping streets, Knightsbridge is also great for kids, with Hyde Park a stone’s throw away and plenty of excellent playgrounds and cafes to discover. If you’re in the area at 10.30am daily, look out for the household cavalry galloping towards Buckingham Palace for the changing of the guard ceremony. Toy Kingdom in Harrods is another must-see, as are Kensington’s many world-class museums; on a Sunday, you can join a mass family rollerskate group at Hyde Park Corner.
