It sleeps up to 12 + 2. Book together with The Villa Castelletta for up to 22 guests. For parents who would like time off from the housework that comes with the usual rental villa, this is the ultimate escape. The estate’s exclusive services (additional fee) include Prosecco on arrival, a daily Continental breakfast prepared, served and cleared away, fresh flowers, glossy magazines, housekeeping and daily fresh towels laid out at the pool. A concierge service can arrange everything for you from gourmet catering with a private chef, cooking classes, travel excursions to babysitting and bookings at one of the area’s Michelin-star restaurants (there are 9 in Le Marche). For your personal wellness, yoga and Pilates classes are available, as well as beauty treatments, massages and sound healing. They’ll even keep the kids amused too with fun activities such cooking lessons, kids’ yoga, tennis lessons, sailing lessons, bike rental, and more.

Why Kids Love it

Villa Castelle has so much for kids to enjoy. Inside you’ll find board games and toys and a separate lounge area, just for kids, so they can watch a Netflix film and have their own space. The heated outdoor pool comes with floating beanbags and there’s a tennis court open all year round. There’s also a yoga studio and a fire pit for toasting marshmallows as the sun goes down. The estate grows its own fruit and vegetables and makes olive oil from the 400 olive trees; a perfect place to create the best treasure hunt ever. Not forgetting a pizza oven, a ping pong table and a table football table. Why not bike down to the local town and beach (car free for most of the way)? There are a few bars and kids’ playgrounds en route. The 13th-century old town of Civitanova Alta is a 15-minute walk and here you can enjoy delicious homemade gelato. The town of Civitanova Marche (7 mins by car) has outdoor trampoline parks, mini golf, a small water park, sailing classes, time at the beach, walks, 4-person bike on a designated bike path, and a summer funfair called Luna Park.

Style Notes

Pared down elegance and modern luxury. The estate's Villa Castelle and Villa Castelletta are both restful retreats, equipped for special gatherings with family and friends. Furnished to a high standard, you’ll find an inspiring mix of contemporary and classic design such as crystal pendant chandeliers, distressed bronze coffee tables and ceramics. Natural stone floors sit harmoniously with restful color schemes, while reclaimed antique materials contrast beautifully with unique pieces of art and sculpture. The living spaces have BOSE built-in speaker systems with Bluetooth connectivity and floor-to-ceiling glass doors connect the outside and inside living spaces. We love the numerous terraces and balconies, which mean you are never far from yet another breathtaking view of Le Marche; the tranquil bedrooms with Italian embroidered textiles and Egyptian cotton linens; and the luxurious cellar spa.

Le Marche, Italy

Italy’s hidden secret

Bordering Umbria to the northeast and running 100 miles along the Adriatic Coast to the border with San Marino, Le Marche is Tuscany’s lesser known cousin. Expect medieval hill towns, Renaissance art, open air opera and rustic trattoria plus a wonderful coastline. Kids will love the water parks, Dinosaur Park, caves and butterfly gardens, along with quirky local events, including wheelbarrow racing with frogs.

Our stay at Villa Castelle was one of the very best vacation experiences I have ever had in my life. Every detail about the villa itself was perfect. It is a fabulous property with beautiful grounds, and amazing views to the sea or to the hilltop medieval town close-by. No aspect of the experience was less than wonderful. We took part in excursions for truffle hunting (a kid favorite), pasta making lessons, lavender fields and oil making, seaside beach club sunning and luncheon, as well as reservations at lovely local restaurants, baby sitters for the kids, a pool filled with toys and floats, and all the makings for the best pizza I have ever eaten on our first night there. In addition, our concierge team created a simply delicious meal on our final evening. I really want the recipe for that Patata Marchiagiana, Christina and Barbara. You were a great team! I would love to visit Villa Castelle again and again. I hope I get to do so.

The ideal scenario - the property is more beautiful than the insane photos. The concierge is SO nice and attentive. The experiences are truly unique and memorable. I have no complaints. We went with our two kids (5 & 7) and both sets of grandparents. We did a week in Tuscany because my husband was worried he had never heard of Marche. But let me tell you - Marche is Italy’s best kept secret and in a few years everyone will know about it. Cannot wait to come back!

Amanda and her team are absolutely wonderful hosts -- the property is gorgeous and amenities are top notch! They helped us arrange chefs, excursions, nanny services and in general took outstanding care of our group - including lots of young kiddos. Highly recommend this oasis!
