This Lisbon apartment in the cool Arroios neighborhood is bright and spacious and has a well-stocked playroom for the kids. It sleeps up to 7 (4 adults, 3 children). The main living room has room for adults to cook or relax and for kids to play. Parents will appreciate the contemporary main bedroom with its own ensuite, while there is a family bathroom with a shower and a bath tub for the kids. The apartment has a full kitchen and family-sized dining area for easy meals in. For meals out, there are plenty of options within easy walking distance.

Why Kids Love it

Young kids will delight in the playroom at this residence that has toys and games suited for girls and boys under 10. There’s a play kitchen, a teepee with cushions and soft sheepskin rugs, a toy zoo, musical instruments for a sing-along, and a mini table and chairs with craft supplies. Local playgrounds are a short walk away and kids will adore the beautifully decorated kids’ room with 3 child-size beds with star wallpaper and cuddly animal cushions. A baby traveling cot, high chairs, baby toys and a baby bath can be provided on request.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 6 nights. The flat is safe and secure on the 1st floor with stairs access. There are no internal stairs in the apartment making it ideal for toddlers. Please note that there is no outdoor space. For drivers, there are plenty of parking places on the street and around the apartment (metered). The living room and 2 bedrooms have air conditioning. There is a washing machine and dryer, plus ironing board and iron. WiFi available. No pets allowed.

About the Location

This residence is located in the quiet and family-friendly Arroios neighborhood in Lisbon. The area has come to be known as one of the coolest neighborhoods in the world, praised for its cultural and sporting offerings including open-air galleries, vintage architecture, great food and colorful basketball court within the lovely park of Jardim Braancamp Freire. Arroios is central and close to several buses and subway stations: Arroios (Green Line), Saldanha (Yellow / Red lines) and Alameda (Red / Green lines). Supermarkets, restaurants, a playground for kids and a gym are 5 minutes’ walk. From Lisbon Portela Airport it's a 15 minutes’ taxi ride or take the subway to Saldanha, approx. 40 mins.

Accommodation Details

This 225 m2 family apartment has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on 1 floor. The spacious 43 m2 main living area has a sofa / TV are, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a table seating up to 8 (5 adult chairs, plus 3 Stokke highchairs for babies or young children). There is a kids’ playroom with toys, art and craft supplies and books. The main bedroom has a queensize bed and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, WC and walk-in shower. Bedroom 2 has 3 (kids’ size) twin / single beds. Bedroom 3 is a guest bedroom with a desk and a day bed that converts to 2 single / twin beds. There’s a family bathroom with a bath tub, shower and bidet, and a further powder room.

Style Notes

Bright, light, modern and sophisticated. This city pad is mainly white with playful primary color accents such as the yellow dining chairs, turquoise kitchen backsplash and bright cushions in the main bedroom. There are pale wooden floors throughout and large windows that allow in lots of natural light. Designer lighting in the living space and contemporary bathrooms complete the look. We love the fun cuddly animal heads in the kids’ rooms and in the kitchen, the black tiles and lime accents in bathroom, and the super playroom.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 15% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 15% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

We had a great stay in Lisbon at this lovely family apartment with great hosts. Within in a traditional building with high ceilings etc, we were surprised how much bigger it was, than it looks in the pictures. The big, light playroom is a real delight for the children, with loads of different toys etc to keep them entertained. It’s set in a nice, quiet and friendly neighbourhood, with everything you need and only a short walk to two Metro stations. Antonio was very friendly and communicative, and was ready to help with anything. He was always very easy to contact, if needed. We love Lisbon as a city and we loved this as a place to stay with our 2 & 7 year old children. If we can, we wouldn't hesitate in staying here again!

Amazing stay! The apartment is well decorated, very spacious and has everything you need for your little ones: the kids' playroom was magic! The location is perfect if you want to explore the city and rest in a quiet area. 5 stars for the host! Communication was easy. Antonio was always available to share great tips to experience the authentic side of Lisbon. Kudos for the TukTuk and Ramen resto recos. Huge thanks!

We had an amazing time staying at Antonio and his family’s beautiful home in Lisbon. Antonio was incredibly communicative and helpful throughout the entire time, he really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed before, during, and after our stay. The house is spacious, and Inês has an amazing attention to detail and an incredible eye for design which comes through across every area of the house. The house has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The amazing play room made the experience completely unique and personal for our children given they had some of the same toys back home. Antonio and his family are incredibly welcoming and friendly, and they made us feel right at home. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay in Lisbon.

We spent one week at this gem of an apartment and can't say enough good things about the place and hosts. First when you enter you are overwhelmed by the sheer size of the place which doesn't fully come through in the pictures - it's immense and impeccably clean. The kids felt right at home, spending time in the dreamy playroom was the highlight of their day. Thanks to Antonio's thoughtful tips we also got to see the wonders of Lisbon and discovered lots of child-friendly cafes, restaurants, museums and even spent a day at the beach which is less than 30min away and easily accessible by car/Ueber. If you consider visiting Lisbon and want a truly amazing base which also allows adults some time off after a long day of sightseeing this is the place to stay!

Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Rua Dos Acores Residence. The apartment is spacious, clean, well decorated, and our son loved the playroom. Antonio and his family were incredible hosts and ensured we had everything needed throughout our stay, including going out of their way to provide us an extra crib. The neighborhood is convenient and centrally located and near many parks and good restaurants. Highly reccomend!

Rainbow of delight! We enjoyed our stay in Antonio’s sunshine filled home! From the moment in the door the kids slid into the tent, explored the books and games, while we grown ups poured over maps of sights to see in Lisboa! The kid friendly, bright decor was only matched by the sunshiny recommendations and easy host communication. Lisbon might be famous for colorful buildings and brightly decorated facades but in this case the bright, cheerful home made us feel welcome! Thank you for a kid friendly home away from home.

We can't say enough about how amazing our stay was at Antonio's house. The space is even more magical in person and they couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. The space is very thoughtfully designed and truly felt like a home away from home. The neighborhood is wonderful and the space very well maintained and extremely clean. The toy room is every kids dream come true. Communication was a breeze. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this space for anyone traveling to Lisbon. We stayed for a month and never wanted to leave!
