A stylish, sun-drenched apartment in Lisbon’s Campo de Ourique district with markets, bakeries, coffee shops and excellent parks on its doorstep. It sleeps 3 + 1. The perfect base for a laid-back city vacation with 2 pretty bedrooms and a bright and stylish compact living space with room to eat, drink and relax. French style doors can be flung open to let in the breeze during the warmer months with a secure balconette offering peace of mind for those with little ones. The apartment is located in one of Lisbon’s few flat districts, making it easier for those with a stroller or young children to get around. There’s a park – the Jardim da Parada – with a playground on the next block and the lovely Jardim da Estrela is a short walk away, a favoured local spot for picnics, games and seasonal concerts.

Why Kids Love it

The apartment has toys, art supplies and books for kids of all ages, and the hosts can provide a range of baby essentials including a crib, and a highchair. The home is all on one level making it suitable for little crawlers and toddlers, with plenty of space for older ones to play and a large dining table for crafting or board games. In the local area there’s plenty to explore, from traditional toyshops to the foodie treasures of the Mercado de Campo de Ourique where kids can sample local produce, including ice cream, to their heart's content. For active kids there’s a charming children's playground with a duck pond at the Jardim da Parada, under 100 meters away, as well as the celebrated Jardim da Estrela where the local kids head. Water babies and surf enthusiasts have the Atlantic waves and sandy beaches of the Costa da Caparica a 25-minute drive away.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 4 nights. The apartment is located on the second floor of a historic building that does not have an elevator. There is good WiFi connection available. Please note that there is no TV, or air conditioning, though there are plenty of toys and fans/heaters provided. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and a washing machine for convenience. The second single bedroom is suited to children aged 5 and up; a crib can be provided for younger guests. Paid street parking is available, although busy. It’s not very easy to find a spot, depending on the time. There are 3 paid car parks (one is indoor) just a few hundred meters away.

About the Location

The residence is centrally located in Campo de Ourique, a hidden gem of an area popular with local families. Nearby amenities include bakeries, coffee shops, kid-friendly restaurants, grocery stores and the famous Mercado. It is an ideal area for exploring on foot with relatively flat terrain and 2 parks within walking distance - the Jardim da Parada (2 minutes) and the Jardim da Estrela (10 minutes). Lisbon’s historic center is approximately 20 minutes away by tram. For outdoor adventures and white sand beaches Caparica and Cascais are just a 25-minute drive away. The closest international airport is the Humberto Delgado, 20 minutes by car.

Accommodation Details

The residence has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom set over one floor. The central living area is open plan in style with a living space featuring a sofa and armchair with French doors that open on to a balconette on one side; a dining table seating 6 in the ‘mid zone’, and a fully equipped kitchen just behind. It includes everything a guest would expect including a coffee maker, a dishwasher and a kitchen island. The primary bedroom has a double bed and desk space, while the second bijou bedroom comes with a single bed. These rooms share a bathroom, which has a shower but no bathtub.

Warm and bright. Combining historic charm with contemporary flair, this perfectly formed apartment offers guests a wonderfully relaxing city base. The interiors are chic and cozy with vintage décor, warm wooden touches and colorful art and ceramics handpicked by the hosts. Rugs, lamps and carefully placed mirrors help create a sense of space, working alongside the windows and doors that flood in the natural light. We love the open plan living area, with plenty of space to chill out or gather together for family dinners and board game evenings.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 15% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 15% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
