Perks for the Parents

A family-friendly mews house just off Baker Street, with bunk beds for kids and a private terrace for parents. It sleeps 6. Parents will love the secluded terrace accessed from the second guest room - this private suntrap is the perfect place for an early morning coffee. This neighborhood is one of the most desirable locations in the city: families who love to dine out will find plenty of options a short walk away, plus the Marylebone farmers market at weekends, and there are parks, bookshops and toy shops within walking distance to keep everyone entertained.

Why Kids Love it

The property works well for teens, who might like the guest room and private terrace, as well as younger kids, who can share the bunk beds. There’s plenty to explore on the doorstep, including 2 of London’s largest parks. Regent’s Park is just a 12-minute walk with a boating lake, open air theater, playground, laid-back cafes and famous London Zoo. Hyde Park is a 15-minute walk south with a seasonal calendar of events including a winter wonderland with rides and skating, and summer music festivals which might appeal to teens. Camden town, renowned for its eclectic music scene and markets is also a short bus or cab ride away, while for younger ones, on nearby Baker Street there’s the Sherlock Holmes Museum, perfect for mini detectives.

(There is also a separate dining and seating area at the front of the home that is not pictured on the listing.) On the upper level are 2 bedrooms: the guest bedroom has a comfortable kingsize bed and access to the terrace. On the third level is the primary suite with an indulgent super kingsize bed and an ensuite with a fitted bathtub and walk-in shower.

Style Notes

Modern Mews. This elegant home is a beautiful example of London's unique mews houses. With a modern twist on a classic 19th-century building, the interiors are light and bright with a calming neutral feel, contrasting with the historic exterior. Built-in wardrobes make clever use of the space in bedrooms, while the warehouse-style windows add an industrial touch to the space. We love the double windows in the living room and guest room, as well as the marble ensuite and the sophisticated all-white kitchen.

Marylebone, London

Parks, zoos and a chic high street

Marylebone is a fantastic central location for a London vacation with kids. This upmarket district of the city is near green spaces and child-friendly cafes, the best butcher and fromagerie in town, Regents Park, Paddington Park and, for when mom needs a little shopping hit, the mecca that is Selfridges.

Great place, well appointed and great location in London. There is no AC so that's a consideration in the hot summer especially since the master is on the top floor. But would recommend this apartment!

This was an amazing house in the heart of London. I can’t say enough nice things about our hosts as well.
