Why Kids Love it
Palm Springs is a surprisingly family-friendly destination with plenty of indoor and outdoor attractions. Joshua Tree National Park (that inspired the U2 album) is about 40 minutes away and a great place to start with fascinating plants and animals, over 8000 climbing routes, hikes and a well- preserved gold mine. Otherwise, there’s The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and the Living Desert – part zoo, part botanical gardens and about 20 minutes south of the city. At the house, there’s a closet stuffed with books and board games. Kids will love the huge projector screen in the living room for movie nights worthy of Sinatra.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 2 nights. Guests have access to entire home and fenced backyard. The home has a carport and driveway large enough for 3 cars max. A 220-volt outlet is in the carport for charging electric vehicles. The city of Palm Springs requires hosts to send all guests a Good Neighbor Brochure and for guests to sign a short document agreeing to the Palm Springs Vacation Rental Rules and Regulations. Quiet hours are 10pm to 10am while outdoors. No smoking, no pets, no outdoor music at any time or candles. If you break house rules, you’ll be charged a $1000 fine per infraction per day. The pool can be heated for an additional $50 a day. You must be at least 25 to rent this property and be present for the duration of the stay. Hosts are available around the clock for assistance.
About the Location
This residence is in Racquet Club Estates, one of Palm Spring’s most established and authentic neighborhoods that has recently undergone a renaissance. Many of the architecturally significant mid-century homes have been carefully restored. Shopping, interior design shops and restaurants are downtown at Palm Canyon Drive (2.6 miles) and the Escena Golf Club is a short drive away. The neighborhood is 4 miles from the Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) and approximately 2 hours’ drive from Los Angeles. Head out to the surrounding Coachella Valley for horse riding, biking and hiking. The property also comes with 2 bikes for riding around the neighborhood or to downtown.
Accommodation Details
This residence has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms all on 1 floor. With a coveted floorplan, the main living area has double-height ceilings and all bedrooms face away from the street. The design carefully flows all rooms out to the outdoor space. Enter through the hallway and find the open plan living room and kitchen with designer furniture and a gas fireplace and projector for movie nights. The dining table seats 6. The chef’s kitchen has stainless steel appliances and a gas range. The 3 bedrooms all have access to the backyard: 1 kingsize primary with ensuite and 2 queensize that share a bathroom. In the fully fenced, private yard you’ll find 6 lounge chairs, 4 bean bag style cushions, a dining table under a pergola with string lights, 2 Acapulco chairs, a gas fire pit with seating for 6, a bocce ball court, a gas grill, and an additional dining area off the kitchen.

A Nebula projector is mounted above the fireplace and each bedroom comes with a smart TV for relaxed viewing. Indulgent touches include Aesop and Prose products in the primary bedroom and beautiful ceramic West Elm dish-ware in the kitchen. The master bathroom has a door that leads directly to the pool. We love the Crosley record player and original vinyl records in the hallway, the sparkling pool with yellow and white striped umbrellas, and the musical portraits of Jimi Hendrix, Tupac and Jimmy Page.
