A stylish yet traditional Provencal villa in the charming village of Verquieres, with a modern poolhouse and space for the whole family. It sleeps 10. This beautiful property is located on a fully-fenced plot of 800m2, with a south-facing beautiful lawn that all ages will love. You’ll find many trees and flower beds with laurels, lavender, jasmine and roses surrounding the property. Parents and kids alike will love hanging out in the poolhouse, equipped with a comfortable outdoor lounge, shower room and kitchenette - the perfect place to relax in the sun or eat a lazy brunch. For those looking for more tranquility and privacy, on the other side of the house (sunset side) there is a little intimate corner: a terrace with a pergola and a wall fountain.

Why Kids Love it

Kids will love playing in the pool all day (which can be heated) and enjoying the gardens and outdoor spaces, which include a pétanque court and ping pong table. There are fun kids rooms (including bunks for sharing) and board games in the house to enjoy. For parents with babies or toddlers, the hosts have a foldable high chair available on request. For family days out, the L'Arche de Meo animal park is just a short drive away.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights. Safety notes: the entire swimming pool and pool house area is protected by gates, so everything is safe for kids. The pool has 3 large steps for easy entry. The heated pool, 10m x 5.5m, is open from mid April to the end of September. The entire property is closed and walled. Car rental is advised to get around the area.

About the Location

The property is located in the village of Verquieres, which is 10 minutes’ drive from the village of Saint Rémy de Provence and the Alpilles mountains, in the South of France. The village is quiet and safe, with a children’s playground and essential shops. It’s around 20 minutes from the Avignon TGV station for access to Paris and the rest of Europe. The Luberon and Arles regions are roughly half an hour’s drive.

Accommodation Details

The house has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, set over 2 floors. On the ground floor you’ll find the main entrance hall, leading to a cozy living room, dining area and a well-equipped kitchen with a central island. This floor also has a laundry room and a bathroom with a shower, a double sink, an Italian shower and a WC. Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms and 2 rooms ideal for kids: 1 with a single and a set of bunk beds and the other with 2 single beds (which can also be set up as a double on request). This floor also has a separate bathroom with sink, bathtub and WC. The outdoor poolhouse also has a bathroom, kitchenette and plancha grill.

Style Notes

Contemporary Provencal. The house has been carefully decorated in a refined Provencal style, with an elegant living room and dining room with references to the historical location. The hosts have chosen a subtle coastal theme, with blue and white tones and textures of straw and wood for a rustic touch. We love the exposed brick fireplace and the original wooden ceiling beams, as well as the gorgeous contemporary poolhouse lounge area.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 15% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 15% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
