The 4th Avenue West Residence
Perks for the Parents
This incredible modern home looks like a Mondrian painting from the outside and is set in one of Seattle’s most popular neighborhoods, with view of the Puget Sound from its roof terrace. Set up for families, it has a sleek great room and open kitchen with a commercial gas range, double ovens, microwave drawer and custom island. Enjoy a night by the fireplace while taking in Space Needle views, a soak in the master bedroom tub that fills from the ceiling, a glass of wine in the hot tub or a cup of coffee on the roof deck. The back yard has a hot tub.
Why Kids Love it
The house is great for children. One of the upstairs kids bedrooms has twin bunk beds and there is a pack’n’play available in the downstairs bedroom. The main floor has a playroom with lots of toys. The house has a small backyard, and there are multiple parks and playgrounds nearby. There are 5 parks within walking distance, plus a public library and a ton of shops and restaurants steps away on Queen Anne Avenue.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 2 nights. There is driveway parking and garage entry. Some stairs are a little steep (there are no stair gates); there is also a roof deck and balcony where children must be supervised at all times. There are steps up to the front door. Bathrooms include showers and tubs. No pets. Car rental useful but not essential - the house is a block to a bus stop that will take you downtown, and it is a fairly easy walk to the Space Needle, Seattle Center and the Monorail (the walk up is tiring and mostly uphill). NOTE: This is the host's primary residence so last minute bookings are not possible. Bookings will be considered where the check in date is at least 7 days away.
About the Location
The residence is in Queen Anne, Seattle, a central district of the city. The neighborhood offers a small town feel and walkable neighborhood charm while being nestled in a big city. Popular tourist destination, Kerry Park, is only 2 blocks away to the south. Two coffee shops, an Italian restaurant and Molly Moon's Ice Cream are 2 blocks to the north. The house is 20 minutes from Seattle-Sea Tac airport.
Accommodation Details
This 4-bedroom home has a master bedroom and 2 kids rooms on the upper level, with an open concept main floor with playroom/office and state of the art appliances, and media room/bedroom on the lower level. The 5 bathrooms include rooms with tubs and showers. There is a small backyard with a hot tub and enough play space for young kids. Three flights of stairs up from the lower level to the top take you to a 600 sqft roof deck with sweeping views of the Puget Sound and a partial city skyline view in the winter months.
Style Notes
Bright and modern. This stunning contemporary home is picture-perfect inside and out. With a huge concrete island and open concept living, the style works well for families and provides space to enjoy different activities in the same space. Large trees surround the property so if all of the floor-to-ceiling windows are open you feel like you are in a tree house. The main living space is made cozy with a shaggy rug and fire for colder nights. We love the cute but contemporary kids room and the lush green couch.

Queen Anne, Seattle
Cozy bakeries and Space Needle views
Five minutes from downtown Seattle yet removed from the bustle of the city, Queen Anne is on top of a hill overlooking the Space Needle, Puget Sound and city at large. The neighbors are friendly folk: join them at regular local festivals and at the Thursday night Farmers Market. Don’t miss Le Rêve Bakery for an easy breakfast, Kerry Park for green space and views of the city lights as far as Mount Rainier, and the Seattle Center for culture, sport and year-round events.
