Perks for the Parents
This characterful Provencal farmhouse is one of the oldest in Saint Rémy and has a heated outdoor pool in a garden with olive, lemon and orange trees. It sleeps up to 10 + 1. There are approximately 2 hectares of gardens with a large lawn for ball games and an orangery. There are 2 terraces; 1 shaded by trees and the other near the pool with a fountain and a jacuzzi (great for enjoying the stars when the kids are in bed). The pretty village of Saint Rémy is just a 10-minute stroll.
Why Kids Love it
The residence has plenty of toys and books for children under 10 and the bedrooms are bright and colorful. A piano is at the kid’s disposal for musical fun and sing songs. The large lawn is great for running around and they’ll adore splashing in the pool. St Remy has lots of relaxed places to eat as a family and a small playground, as well as a carousel and ice cream parlor. A crib, high chair, baby toys and a baby bath can be provided on request.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 7 nights during all French vacations and July; 14 nights in August; Saturday to Saturday. Tourist tax is not included and should be paid directly to the host on arrival (approximately 4EUR per adult per night, depending on location). Safety notes: the pool is unfenced but secured with an automatic shutter and alarm. The property is entirely fenced and protected by an automatic gate with CCTV.
About the Location
This farmhouse is located in the southern part of the village of Saint Rémy de Provence and at the foot of Les Alpilles mountains. The village location means that you won’t need a car to shop for local produce and treats, and you’ll be able to walk to local restaurants. Nearby attractions include the Saint-Paul de Mausole monastery where Van Gogh spent part of his life, and archeological site of Glanum. The village is also a departure point for the Alpilles mountain hiking path. Avignon train station is 25 minutes’ drive and it’s 55 minutes to Marseille airport.

Style Notes
Eclectic, country style. This lovingly decorated farmhouse is stuffed full of French antiques, contemporary pieces and artwork. Interiors are grown-up with period fireplaces, flagstone floors and softly colored furnishings. Various color accents are at play in different rooms and include original floor tiles, stone-made counters and neon and black outdoor furniture. We love the spectacular garden that is alive with Mediterranean plants and wildlife, the private and comfortable pool area, and the warm ambience.

Saint-Remy-de-Provence, Provence
Artists, sunshine and good living
Twelve miles south of Avignon, this beautiful Provençal village embodies all that is great about the area; art, good living and sunshine. Vincent Van Gogh lived here for a time; it’s also the birthplace of Nostradamus. Explore the Roman ruins nearby after browsing chocolate shops and playing in rivers beside flower-filled meadows.
