With a bunk room sleeping up to 5 kids and 2 luxurious kingsize bedrooms with ensuites, there is plenty of space and privacy for 1 large family or 2 families vacationing together. Ideal for gatherings, there is a sociable open plan kitchen/diner and living room inside, and a private back yard with a screened porch and a fire-pit for cozy evenings in. With a 6-seater golf cart and 4 Retrospec beach cruiser bicycles provided, exploring the island couldn’t be easier. The residence is under 5 minutes from some of St. Simons’ best restaurants, cafes, golf courses and beaches. The hosts have provided fishing rods, casting nets, beach toys, beach bags, chairs, towels and an igloo cooler for a truly relaxing beach experience.

Kids will feel right at home at this laid-back beach inspired pad with plenty on offer to entertain and cater for all ages. The hosts have provided toys, books, a highchair, travel crib, plastic plates, a games console (on the screened porch) and fishing gear. The spacious backyard has room to play and the fire pit is the perfect spot for evenings gathered together toasting s’mores under the stars. The kid’s nautical themed bunkroom provides sleepover style fun with 2 bunk beds and 1 singlesize sleeping up to 5. Each bunk has a reading light so children can catch up with a book before bed without disturbing each other. For kids wanting to explore, the provided bikes and golf cart are a fun way to see the island with several beaches, playgrounds, attractions, and the local donut shop within easy reach.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights. The residence has 2 floors and no elevator. Stair gates can be provided on request. The minimum age for reservations is 25. There is high speed WIFI throughout the property and a workspace. There is a utility room with a washer and dryer. Parking is available at the property. A solo stove fire-pit is provided; young children should be supervised around it when lit. The hosts can arrange a pre-arrival fridge stock prior to arrival on request; they can also provide details of local babysitters if needed. Please note that this property does not accept pets and is non-smoking. Check in: 4pm; Check out: 10am

About the Location

The residence is located in the heart of St. Simon's Island, a beautiful beach town in Georgia. The neighbourhood is leafy and green with huge moss-clad southern oaks providing shade and charm. The spacious sidewalks make cycling or walking around easy, and a golf cart is also provided bringing the island’s beaches, restaurants and activities under 5 minutes’ drive away. The main village strip, full of restaurants, bakeries and cafes is under a mile away and accessible on foot. Kayak hire and horse-riding can be arranged locally, and for golf enthusiasts there are several courses within easy reach. The closest airport is Brunswick Golden isles, 20 minutes’ drive away. Savannah/Hilton Head international and Jacksonville airports are both just over an hour’s drive.

Accommodation Details

The residence has 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms over 2 floors. The main living area comprises of an open plan kitchen-diner and living room. The elegant modern kitchen comes fully equipped with a large fridge-freezer, a dishwasher and stainless-steel appliances. The kitchen island has breakfast bar seating for 3, with a large dining table behind seating a further 6. The living area occupies the other half of the space and has 2 sofas, games, and a flatscreen TV mounted over the fireplace. Garden doors lead to a screened porch at the front with sofa and chair set, and a private backyard with a firepit and a decked area with an alfresco dining table seating 8. Upstairs, on the first-floor, guests will find the master and second bedroom, both with kingsize beds and ensuite bathrooms. The kids’ bedroom is also located here with an ensuite bathroom, 2 bunk beds sleeping 4 and a singlesize trundle that sleeps 1 more. There is an additional sitting area on this floor with a coffee machine.

The whitewashed clapboard exterior with beautiful porch area set amongst whimsical moss-covered oaks and palms makes a welcoming scene which carries on through the residence. The calm coastal palette is complimented by handpicked textiles, wallpapers and artworks which add color, character and warmth while stainless steel appliances and crisp white walls maintain a light, bright and contemporary feel. We love the residence’s breezy feel and thoughtful detailing – from the nature inspired staircase to the fun nautical wallpaper in the kids’ bedrooms. Cozy nooks have been crafted throughout so there is plenty of stylish hangout space to choose from.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 15% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 15% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
