Perks for the Parents

A super peaceful, traditional apartment in the small village of Villalobar de Rioja, with a shared garden and neighboring apartment. It sleeps 2. Located in a quiet traditional village square, this is a place where time slows down. You can enjoy long walks through fields and poplar groves, follow the course of the river Oja or visit the best vineyards of the Rioja region. If you are looking for more adventure, you can even try a hot-air balloon trip, kayaking down the river or cycling routes in the mountains.

Why Kids Love it

The apartment is ideal for small families with children of all ages, from babies (a crib and high chair are available on request, as are toys or books for kids) up to older, more adventurous children who want to explore the village. Larger families can also rent the additional apartment (sleeping 6). There's a playground for our little ones to enjoy right outside the building, and the magical garden boasts a little fountain and grassy area to play outdoors.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 1 night. Safety notes: access to the building is completely secure, and Villalobar is a family-friendly town. Pets are welcome (upon request, for an additional fee). The apartment also has free Wi-Fi and heating.The building has a shared laundry area with a washing machine and dryer, available at any time. Public transport (bus) is available in the town with regular service to neighboring towns and Logroño, but car rental is advised and there is parking available on site. The host also rents another larger apartment in the building, The Los Prados Family Residence, for an additional 6 guests.

About the Location

The apartment is located in Villalobar de Rioja, a small village in La Rioja Alta, where the traditional Spanish way of life is preserved. With just 70 inhabitants, families will enjoy a fantastic natural setting, surrounded by the Oja River, with long, peaceful walks, and scenes of poplar groves and vineyards. It’s close to several towns you can explore by car: Logroño (35 minutes), Vitoria (45 minutes), Burgos (1 hour), Bilbao (1 hour 15 minutes), or San Sebastián (2 hours). You can visit the beaches at Bilbao or at La Concha in San Sebastián.

Accommodation Details

The apartment has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, located on the ground floor of the building. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, ceramic hob, Dolce Gusto coffee machine (complimentary capsules and infusions are provided), toaster, and all the necessary kitchenware. It’s connected to the living room, where you’ll find a Smart TV and double sofabed. The bathroom has a rain shower, shower gel and shampoo dispensers, a hairdryer, and, the bedroom has a queensize bed.

Style Notes

Moorish Pad. The apartment features thoughtful Mozarabic-style decor in neutral, elegant tones that add warmth to the space. The building's original stone walls have been preserved, noting the historic nature of the property and providing coolness in the summer and warmth in the winter. We love the delicate details, such as the dotted wooden shutters and curved window panes, as well as the ornate carved doors and traditional pendant lights.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 15% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 15% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
