This contemporary family home in Venice Beach, California comes with a swimming pool, hot tub and a whole host of kids games for indoors and outdoors. It sleeps 8. This is a great spot to explore Venice Beach, located on a quiet street within walking distance to a large park, golf course, restaurants and shops. Well set-up for a family stay, this residence has a beautiful open plan full kitchen and family room as well as a separate living and dining area with fireplace (for quiet time after little ones are in bed). The downstairs bedroom doubles as a separate TV room for children or can also be used for parents traveling with a nanny or au pair. The house contains a library of books (for kids and adults) and a well-stocked games cupboard for family nights in, and the spectacular backyard is a relaxing haven for warm summer nights.
Why Kids Love it
The house is a dream for kids and would appeal to any age group. There are plenty of games and books in the house to keep children entertained, as well as a park with a playground, tennis and basketball courts across the street (not to mention the miles of sandy beaches just a few minutes away). The house comes equipped with 3 flat-screen TV's with streaming apps as well as an Xbox for chill-out days. There are also art supplies and a game cabinet in the dining room with games like Uno, Twister, Scrabble and Clue. Outdoor games such as Giant Jenga are on the side of the house. Kids of all ages will love having their own pool to splash around in all day - there is a basket of goggles and pool toys on the patio. A high chair, baby cot and other baby gear can be provided on request for an extra fee.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 3 nights. Safety notes: the pool is not gated so non-swimmers should be supervised. A housekeeper is available for an extra fee. The house contains a full laundry room with washer/dryer and there is central air-conditioning throughout. The residence has 3 smart TV's, WiFi, a Sonos sound system and an electric piano for music lovers. Outside there is a gated garden with a swimming pool, hot tub, BBQ, fire pit and dining area. There is room for 1 car on the property as well as plenty of street parking - car rental is optional and not strictly essential. Dogs may be permitted on a case-by-case basis and interested guests should get in touch with the host. A $50 a day pet fee will apply. Home Sharing Permit: HSR23-003132.
About the Location
This residence is located in Venice Beach in Los Angeles, California. There is a supermarket, pharmacy and various shops and restaurants just 10 minutes’ walk away. The popular shops and restaurants along Abbott-Kinney Boulevard are a must-visit, as is the Venice Farmers Market every Friday morning and the picturesque Venice Canal streets (all around 5 minutes’ drive or 30 minutes’ walk). Visit the iconic Venice Beach (30 minutes’ walk or 10 minutes’ drive) for Muscle Beach and Venice Beach Skate Park, or hire bikes from the beach to cycle up the coast to Santa Monica and beyond to Malibu. Kids will love the vibrant pedestrianised Venice Walk Street (5 minutes’ drive) or the amusements at Santa Monica Pier (10 minutes’ drive). LAX airport is an easy 25 minute drive.
Accommodation Details
This residence has 4 ensuite bedrooms over 2 floors. Upstairs, the stylish primary bedroom (with a kingsize bed) is very large and has a spacious ensuite with his and hers sinks, a soaker tub, standalone shower and separate toilet room. A large children's bedroom with a double bed has an ensuite with a bathtub and shower. The third bedroom has a double bed and an ensuite with a shower for older children. The final bedroom is downstairs (with a queensize sofabed) and doubles as a TV room or could be ideal for a nanny or au pair. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a Thermador stove, large capacity refrigerator, espresso maker, dishwasher and multiple appliances to make food prep a breeze. There’s also a cozy family room with a corner sofa, a relaxed dining area and island seating in the kitchen.

Modern beach house. This stylish home is finished with understated interiors in natural shades, with wooden furniture and just the right amount of color from the curated art and soft furnishings. Large windows offer lots of light and the modern finishing and marble countertops appear throughout the house for an added touch of luxury. We love the spectacular Crittall-effect shower in the primary ensuite bathroom, the quirky kids bedroom and the tropical palm print wallpaper in the bathroom.

Watch for ducks as they dart through the many arched bridges over the canals.
