The Smithsonian and beyond
Space rockets, giant pandas and spy disguises are just a handful of the things you can discover with the kids in DC. From the National Air and Space Museum to the Natural History museum, the International Spy Museum and the National Building Museum, there is no shortage of culture and history here, and most of these spots are both free and interactive, allowing tots to get fully involved. Don’t miss the National Mall (ideal by bike), and the city’s events - from the National Cherry Blossom Festival to Cinco de Mayo, there’s at least one blockbuster event per month bringing the city to life.
