This brand new home is the perfect Catskills getaway, complete with a heated gunite pool and luxurious design features. It sleeps 8 + 1. Parents will love this private and peaceful house - despite the rural location it’s just a few minutes to the nearest grocery store (which is open until 10pm for late night snacks!). There’s plenty of outdoor space, as well as large windows to show off the picturesque surroundings, so it’s a great place to get back to nature - there are miles of hiking trails, forests and waterfalls to explore nearby. Spend your days exploring the amazing eateries in Woodstock, working from home with the high-speed WiFi or simply splashing around with the kids in the pool.
Why Kids Love it
This home is perfect for kids of any age. There’s heaps of space for children to play outside and climb trees, build dens or play games. The pool is heated, so kids can stay in the water for hours! The hosts have toys indoors for little ones to enjoy, and a pack-n-play for toddlers and babies. Woodstock waterfall park (less than 10 minutes’ drive) is a great summer spot, and they’ll love visiting Woodstock’s ice cream parlors. For days out, visit Forsyth nature center (15 minutes’ drive) or go swimming at Zena Recreation Park pool (7 minutes’ drive).
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 2 nights; 3 nights during holiday weekends; 5 nights in July and August; 7 nights over Christmas and New Years. Safety notes: the heated pool is entirely fenced in and there is an electric retractable cover for extra safety. The 18 x 36 gunite pool is open May to September. There are also stair gates for families who need them. For babies and toddlers, the house also comes with a high chair, baby bath, changing table, bed rails and children’s utensils. The hosts have a Peloton bike for guests to use during their stay. There is plenty of space for car parking - car rental is essential. The house comes with air conditioning, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Pets are welcome on request.
About the Location
This residence is located just outside Woodstock, NY. It’s less than 10 minutes’ drive to Woodstock town, where you’ll find plenty of restaurants, bakeries, ice cream stores and shops, as well as a cinema, weekend flea market, theater and art gallery. Nearby, you can walk into West Hurley for supermarkets or access to the Ashokan reservoir trails and hiking areas. West Hurley park (7 minutes’ drive) and Woodstock’s Andy Lee Field both have children’s playgrounds. It’s 15 minutes’ drive to Kingston for larger stores and more amenities. Fly into Albany domestic airport (1 hour away) or New York City airports (around 2 hours away). Rhinecliff AMTRACK station is about 20 minutes away.
Accommodation Details
The house has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, set over 3 floors. On the lower garden level, the spacious living room features a stunning fireplace, sumptuous sofas, a massive 85” TV and double-height ceilings with a mezzanine floor upstairs. The open plan living area leads to a dining table and the gourmet kitchen with a breakfast bar - the perfect place to socialize and cook with friends. This floor also has 1 kingsize bedroom and 1 bathroom, as well as a second TV area and a play room. On the upper floor, there are 2 bedrooms: 1 queensize guest room and a children’s bedroom with 1 single beds and a crib, as well as another bathroom. On the top floor, there is a final kingsize bedroom and a full bathroom. Outside, the sreened-in porch is ideal for dining al fresco, and the outdoor deck has a hard-wired grill.

Large floor-to-ceiling windows and vaulted ceilings bring the outside in, creating picture-perfect frames of the beautiful surrounding landscape. We love the wooden paneled kitchen ceiling which references traditional cabin architecture, the cute kids bedroom textiles and the luxurious giant walk-in shower.
