7 Best Things to Do in Ibiza With Kids
1. Ibiza Town
Ibiza town is great to visit with kids. Walk to the top of the old town to find the cannons and breathtaking views over the city. There are lots of shops and restaurants to discover, as well as a beach at Talamanca with a nice pizzeria right on the beach. Park in the harbor and walk into town.
2. Beaches
The best kid-friendly beaches are Cala Vadella and Aguas Blancas. Lots of locals also head to Las Salinas. Make sure you visit Benniras Beach to listen to the drummers as the sun sets!
3. Hippie Markets
Take a trip to Sant Jordi market on Saturdays – a flea market that is filled with treasures with a true Ibiza feel. Sundays, head to San Juan Market, a local artisans market in the northern town of San Juan.
4. Visit Es Vedra
Visit Maggie, the “Horse Whisperer” to meet her three horses on a property overlooking Es Vedra. Take family portraits with the horses, the magical island of Es Vedra.
5. Santa Gertrudis
Located in the countryside, about 15 minutes from Ibiza town, Santa Gertudis is filled with shops, restaurants and a nice little playground with an area for roller skating. Everything is within walking distance, which you should take advantage of at night as the sun begins to set.
6. San Mateo
A small but lovely town, with beautiful nature to explore on foot, espeicaly in February when the almond trees are in bloom.
7. San Lorenzo
Just 10 minutes’ drive from Santa Gertrudis and 15 minutes from Ibiza town, this sleepy little town is a quiet stretch of countryside on the island.

- Restaurant La Paloma is a legendary restaurant that is famous for its amazing vibe. You eat under the orange trees with eclectic vintage plates and cutlery. The food is always good, an absolute must-go.

- Restaurant Beachouse– family-friendly lunches and kids play spaces
- Lunches at Casa Maca – bring your kids’ favorite set of wheels to cruise around the giant concrete playground while you sip and savour your meal.
- Passion Cafe has a nice and healthy menu, with locations in Santa Eulalia, Ibiza Town and Playa d’en Bossa.
- Can Cirres is a local restaurant with a big garden where you can have lunch and dinner. They have parrots, a donkey and a playground, so the kids will love it!
Things To Know When Traveling to Ibiza With Kids
- Be aware that sometimes the beaches have jellyfish.
- Ibiza is a full service island, which means you can bring any service to your villa to make your stay with kids amazing. Book a villa rental and find your own island time as you relax and unwind while watching the kids swim in the pool.
- Strollers can be used everywhere except on the beaches.
- Renting a car is the best way to get around. The locals call Ibiza the one-hour island; nothing will take you longer than an hour to get to during your visit.
- It is easy to get all of your baby essentials at the local supermarkets. There are several organic shops selling the brand Holle as well, for baby needs.
- Dinners are generally quite late on Ibiza. Most restaurants close from 5pm till 8pm, so be sure to check the times before you go. Reservations are usually required in the summer season.
