Brianne Manz, founder of Stroller In the City, is a NYC mom of 3. Her blog is all about city living, family travel, kids fashion and all things that are mommy. She recently spent a trip in London (check out @StrollerInTheCity for more) and she gave us the lowdown on the best things to do in London with teens...
The Best Sights to Visit in London with Teens
My teens are very into shopping, so our first stop whenever we go to London is Harrods! This iconic department store has something for everyone.
This trip we took a black cab tour called Discover Real London. You can customize this tour however you like. We did their Hidden Gems Tour. One stop on the tour was Leak Street, where all of the fun graffiti murals are. My kids were able to spray paint on the walls (our driver brought the spray paint) and they this was the coolest thing ever!
Another fun sight to not miss is the London Eye. This observation wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames is always a fun activity.
Crown Jewels Exhibit in Tower of London is another really great exhibit for teens. Seeing all of the jewels and crowns of the monarchy is always a must see!
Neighborhoods to Explore in London with Teens
This is a hard one. There are so many amazing neighborhoods in London!
- Mayfair is our most favorite neighborhood, I just love the restaurants and shopping.
- Notting Hill is another great neighborhood not to miss. This is where you can see all of the pastel colored homes down Portobello Road.
- Soho and Chelsea neighborhoods are always a stop on our list as well.
Where to eat in London with Teens
Borough Market is always a fun stop. This market has everything from fish and chips to the best donuts I’ve ever had. During this trip we had a great family dinner at the Ambassadors Club. It is an Indian cuisine and my kids loved it.
Another family favorite was Sexy Fish. I feel like you cannot go wrong with sushi, especially when you have teens. They love it. The vibe in there was super fun too.
Favorite London spots, chosen by Teens
- My son Ryder hands down loved spray painting his name on Leak Street.
- My daughter Siella loved our high tea at Claridges. They have the best high tea in my opinion.
- My daughter Gemma loves Broadway, so going to the West End and catching a show is definitely a must for us. Mrs. Doubtfire was playing while we were there!
Where to Stay in London with Teens
We stayed at One Hotel Mayfair. I love this central location, and they offer spacious connecting suites, perfect for our family of five!

I think a Wednesday to Sunday is an ideal time to spent in London! When traveling, I like to have some things/tours scheduled, but most of the time we like to wonder with no plans and I find we always discover something fun!
